  The surgery went well. I currently have no back or leg pain. Dr Hasan was clear in his explanations and suggestions. I refrain from using opoids for pain. I was given Gabapentin for pain before and after the surgery. One side affect of that drug is constipation, which affected me. I recommend that patients taking Gabapentin be encouraged to take stool softeners because of that side affect.
